This sleepy little town west of Boston is the perfect location for families looking to be close to the city, while still being able to enjoy the small town feel Ashland, Massachusetts has to offer. Originally settled in 1750, the area has many historic homes & buildings over 200 years old. One of the most famous buildings in the area Stone’s Public House, which is reportedly haunted.
While not bustling with activity, the almost 20,000 people that call Ashland home have a fair amount of choices to fill their days. Take a walk through one of the many parks in the area, or spend the afternoon at one of the local coffee shops reading your favorite book. Ashland also offers lots of community events, including movie nights and fun activities for the kids.
One of the most desirable aspects of Ashland is the low crime rate. Residents consistently speak of how safe it is and how they have enjoyed raising their family in this area.
